Kerry Brooks has been a potter since 1988, learning her craft in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and now working from her studio and gallery, Dock 6 Pottery, in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis. She creates primarily wheel-thrown, high-fired stoneware such as this handsome butter dish. Ideal for serving butter and cheese, the two-piece design features a dome lid with a loop handle and a coordinated plate.
Dock 6 Pottery has a rustic, organic look that blends beautifully in both contemporary and traditional settings. Each piece is entirely handcrafted, and the glazes respond to the heat of the kiln spontaneously, adding variety to each one. You should expect yours to resemble, but not exactly match, the photos.
