This uniquely beautiful mug is handmade in rural Wisconsin by Colleen Deiss Designs. It begins as a flat slab of clay that's stamped with a bee motif made from a hand-drawn design and pressed with dried wildflowers. The impressions are accented with hand-rubbed stains, and the clay is hand-folded to form the mug. The pottery is fired to Cone 10, which is significantly hotter than the Cone 5 standard of most pottery. The intense heat adds exceptional durability. The work is lead-free, food-safe, and compatible with the microwave and dishwasher.
